why did it do that? -boost creep-

Send back the CAI. The HKS is a good DP for the price and will give you better performance than stock. But, the Helix will give you more power. With a stock cat back, you should have enough back pressure to keep you safe.

Boost cut problem solved!!!!
Hey guys,
Oh the most common problem us sti owners have as soon as we mod our car. Well I found a solution to the problem. You can install a boost cut defender. the full mod install instuctions are on scoobymods.com under sti/ then proformance.
There you can see the full install info. Granted porting your wastgate is the best thing for you, to do this will also help in the long run, another q? you guys were having about the check eng. light and cruise coming back on is your o2 sensor thinks the car is running to rich, the helix check engine fix works well, all you have to do is spit open the wire housing on the 02 sensor that is running off your down pipe and soder in the fix, its easy if you can soder, it only two wires. The cel fix is cheap and easy, I would recomend it.
Good Luck
05 black sti, up- pipe, down pipe, turbo timer, 5zegin gn +, ex. manifold, rsr full ex. zeal c-spec full coil over, charge speed full v1 kit, many more mods to come.

That is NOT a good idea btw. Running 19psi or higher in an engine with nothing more than a catback can NOT be good, yes 19+psi has been achieved during boost creep. To safely use the turbo with the added performance ehaust you should be porting the waste gate so the turbo is not being spun by the now excess of exhuast gases.

But if your one of those that your STi is your daily driver your either going to have to find another turbo ( if its a VF have the Waste gate ported) or put your stock downpipe back on. Luckly a friend of mine had a VF30 to borrow from me that i had sent to deadbolt for P&P. i'll post some pics of a turbo b4 deadbolt and after.
