Throwing CEL's after going cat-less
I recently just made the switch from high-flow, to catless downpipe. I had been tuned with the cat so I turned down the MBC a little to try to compensate. I was peaking at 19.5psi before. Since the install, I have thrown a CEL the last 3 nights. Code is P2044, Turbo Boost Wastegate Solenoid Range/Performance. Last night I was peaking at 18.1 yet still threw a code. My boost gauge isn't installed so I was using my accessport to read boost. Temps were in the 40's so that may have had something to do with the spike. I'm not going to get re-tuned for this since I have other mods coming up that would require me to do so. I'm going to turn down the MBC even more but is there something else I should do? Hickups at 6k are scary as sheet. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Mods:
18G, perrin tmic & inlet hose, spt intake, titek d/p, greddy evo2, hallman mbc, cobb ap v1

I'm guessing this is happening in 4th and 5th gears?

Happened in 3rd gear right around 6k, I'd be going way to fast to find out in 4th and 5th. Turned mbc down a little more and that seems to work for now. Don't really want to pull the mbc and run wastegate boost since I probably won't get tuned for a while. Thanks for the suggestions guys.

U really need a retune asap before u destroy ur motor. Hit up ed at EQ tuning or Paul at dbtune, they will fix it for u in a jiffy. Cost a pretty penny, but better than new motor or other parts.

you were tuned with a cat the first time, you are flowing more air and going to running different without a cat on your car. You should really thing about a retune.

Ed tuned the car originally. I understand that I'm going to boost higher without the cat and that if I turn the mbc down too far I might be hitting different load cells on my map. I just figured since I was tuned conservatively prior with a high flow cat, which titek claims only a 3-5hp loss, I should be ok driving around for a while. I obviously don't want a blown motor but I will be getting tgv deletes and grimmspeed pnp'd exhaust mani soon which would require a whole new tune again.

I've got TGV deletes for ya too!

Just like what everyone else said, dont go tooling around. HOWEVER, if you plan on doing these mods soon dont waste money in a tune right now. Better yet, since you're coming back, ask your tuner for a limp map until you get the parts.
