Target Boost on a 06' STi?

I just bought this STi two weeks ago and it seems im getting quite crappy fuel milage. About 250 to a tank? I mean, yea I stomp it pretty good, but jeeze. Also people have said my car smells funny, even with stock exhaust. So I logged third today and I can't tell if anything's wrong because I've been a WRX guy for a while and know little about STi's... How do I attach a log here? Or PM me and I'll pm you my log. Please advise...

Thanks

Justin

drive hard and 250 on a tank is realistic. Keep it under 3k and you'll see a very big increase.

Yeah i would say 250 is decent, especially if your mobbin it sometimes.

You could keep it under 3k rpm, but what in the hell did you buy an STI for then. I would count your blessing, buy some chevron gas and pray to the gas gods that gas doesnt hit $5 bucks anytime soon.

Almost 3 weeks with my 06 sti and first thing I noticed was how quickly that gas tank needle drops. Haven't really measured from full tank to gas light but I fill up when 1/4 left @ 230miles on trip. That's with a moderate heavy foot here and there. I've attempted to keep it under 3k to get better gas mileage, but it's kind of difficult.
