In a couple of articles that i have read, this is just more rumor, but i am posting it anyways. The next STI whenever it comes out, is suposed to use a flat-6 pushing an excess of 350 hp.

Officialy from Subaru's website in japan! the new STI is going to be a 1.8T Volkswagen Drivetrain over boosted to a billion psi with fake carbon fiber hood, STI body panels attached by duct tape still in primer flaping in the wind, with 13" hub caps, runing sporty Futura tires, and a large exhaust can in the back that would make a nuclear silo cry. Subaru's direct response is, we cant compete with those damn jettas, so we thought we would copy them. MSRP $95,000

oh almost forgot, they removed the hubcaps because they believe it will save weight. so they are just black metal wheels with some overspray on the tires from spray painting over the rust
