I second that. I attempted to drive my 05 on stock tires in 2" of snow, and, while it worked better than the 350Z I tried to get out, it wasn't great. I could get going, but after the "magic" RPM, I got sideways. Fun, but not in traffic.

Of course, I live in Colorado, we get snow alot here.

As mentioned
1st mod - should be a full turbo back exhaust. Turboxs's catless exhaust is suppose to make 27 whp.
2nd mod - engine management (utec, ete)

With good engine management (say Utec) you will be able to add big power mods in the future. (turbo upgrade, fuel injectors, fuel pump, etc)

I'm currently running a PDE downpipe, Greddy Evo catback, and a turboxs manual boost controller - 17psi . I also have a stage 2 Utec from Turboxs. Its a great setup. I pulled 2 cars on an LS1 Z28 from 60-110 mph. I also pulled a good
2 cars on a Mach 1 from about 20 - 80mph. So my car is fast with this setup.

 

All members, please omit any and all references to street racing on this board. Imprezer runs a fairly loose ship but requests that folks moderate themselves as far as street racing and 'kills'.
