Need some answers on motor strength

OK guys listen this isnt a question of what whp i can make. i know what can i make.My question is this, im floatin around 400+ whp probaly a little more at 24psi off a greddyt67 turbo,gp moto equal length header, perrin front mount, greddy t67 downpipe, 3.75 inch apexi gt spec exhaust, hydra nemisis standalone, 850cc injectors, walbro255lph, greddy intake, greddy external wastegate, plus more. Basicly all supporting mods for my greddy turbo plus more just to lazy to list. my question is do you think the motor will be able to take 24psi off this turbo and/or 400whp.
Please dont flame me i looked for 4 days straight and couldnt get any realibale info, answers were all over the place. just wondering and concerned on how soon i will be replacing stock internals with forged units. i know its going to happen i just want to make it through summer. im just a recently converted 4g63 guy lookin for some info. glad to be on board the subaru boat insted of the mitsu.
thanx to all the people who hopefully help thanx guys.

Honestly, if you just want to make it through summer (and I assume build a block after then), turn the boost down. I can't say for certain if your engine is going to blow, but you are making a lot more horsepower than it was designed for. It really comes down to your driving habits and whether or not your drag race the car. The truth is that there is very little data out there to give you a definitive answer.

Hello,

Well the first issue is what dyno and octane did you make this power on? If it's a Dynojet, that about 445 CHP but if that's a 4WD Mustang then it about 530 CHP. I'm going to assume it was a Dynojet cause those are impossibly high numbers for pump gas on a Mustang or Dyno Dynamics, etc.

In any event, we rate the stock STi block as being able to reliably handle 465 CHP consistantly. You can certainly make more on the stock block; upwards of 600 CHP but your motor certainly isn't going to last long. The main problems with the USDM STi motor are the piston ring lands and the bearings. That's why 90% of STis that we see with blown motors either have bad pistons or bearings.

Our built Stage 1 2.5L shortblock specifically addresses these problems. The pistons are replaced with forged Wiseco units and the bearings are replaced with coated racing bearings. Then the whole rotating assembly is balanced within 1 gram. This shortblock is conservatively rated for 535 CHP. We assume that you're going to want to rev higher if you're making that much power so our Stage 2 also replaces the crank and is rated for 600CHP.

From the sounds of it, if you're consistantly running 24 PSI, you're going to want to look at some built short block options in the immediate future. Please feel free to contact us if you have any more questions.

Thanks,

Geoff
