Moving factory STi topmount to front grill? (was: ask about front intercooler?)
My STI install Zero/Sport front bumper.
I plan to move intercoller from above the engine to front bumper.
(My engine is stock)
Is it make a problem for me?
Thank you

are you talking about a front mount or modifying you TMIC to be a FMIC???
if it's an aftermarket FMIC then you should be fine but it's a little laggy with a front mount
If it's modifying your Top mount to a Front mount, then i've never heard it done
If you can do it leme know!
g'luck

this is usually only done when upgrading to a larger turbo. The FMIC, though i don't own one, will increase the time it takes for the hot air leaving the turbo to be cooled off and then sent back into your throttle body and into intake manifold. However, some claim not too much extra lag is actually experienced. it does look better, but i think subaru engineers know what they're doing putting on the TMIC in the first place.

Don't modify your TMIC and try to stick it behind your bumper. Also, unless you do a big turbo upgrade, you won't need a FMIC. Stick with the stock location until you learn more about how this works.
