Nice job with the 12.9!

So the next question would be, can you run a 16G (or "BIG" 16G) on the stock '06 injectors?

I would highly recommend upgrading your fuel pump. The OEM pumps are very inconsistant once you start pushing them and about 20-30% of them run out of fuel with any sort of turbo upgrade.
As far as the guys saying you should get a bigger turbo, I'd suggest taking that with a grain of salt. The VF series turbos are great on the 2.5 if you're after amazing response and good overall power. The 18g and 20g give just a bit more top end power but they really reduce response significantly... for my personal uses, the trade-off is just not worth it. The vf34 is a great turbo choice for a great ballance of power and response.
Thanks

Hey Ed,
Would the Big 16G be a good upgrade for the 2.5 with maybe just a little more headroom above a VF34? I have a stock 06 wrx and am coming from a Stg 4 02 WRX with a VF30 and want just a little more power than that set up. I live in Cali and my car will never see meth injection or race gas. So my future upgrade path will most likely look like this--- Cobb AP, turboXS stealth back, prodrive axleback, fuel pump, larger top mount intercooler and different turbo.
I live in Vacaville so you will more than likely be seeing me in the future.
Would change any of the above mentioned items?? My car is also a wagon and that is the reason for my exhaust choice, I might even go with a STI axle back.
Thanks Dennis
Good Luck with the new shop!!

The stock pump on the '06 is a <145L/hr pump(the pre-'06 was 130L/hr) but I would still upgrade the stock pump for any non-vfxx turbo.....and IMHO, an 8cm 18g or 8cm FP Green is the better choice for a 2.5 street turbo

Just one more question. If I went with the 8cm 18G would you do it with a TD05 or TD06 configuration?? It seems like the TD05 config is the more widely available and would spool faster making it a better street turbo.
