any huge hp gains goign with a fmic vs a tmic. i knwo with the fmic there is a bit of lag, but woudl it be severly noticable or would a 18g not even need a fmic

main thing i like about the fmic is when there is a really cool day and the air hits it and keeps the temp way down

talk to your tuner and see what they recommend. keep in mind dyno numbers are just numbers if you dynoed at 220 whp stock on fli and swap a turbo on it may give you a 300 whp car on their dyno but 280whp some where else. Choose a turbo that optimizes the 2.5 and gives you the power band and the amount of lag that you are looking for. Oh and stick with a tmic no need to go fmic. Look on nasioc for the Turn in Concepts car and you'll see what i mean. Also I got 260whp with a vf34 and supporting mods on gsts dyno

What do you do with the car? What kind of lag is acceptible to you?

To hit 300whp on the lower reading dynos on 91 you will need a 20g. You could come very close with an 18g with all supporting mods including intake, inlet, headers, etc, but you will be pushing it. The 20g is more apropriate for those power levels.

That. Being said, most people are very happy upgrading to a vf series turbo and making 270-280whp with excellent response. This is plenty of power for the street and gives you a very nice useable powerband without putting too much strain on the tranny and internals. Then if you really want 300, you can get a race gas tune. You also don't need to upgrade injectors with these turbos.

Thanks
-- Ed
