I have an '04 STI and ran 18.5lbs of boost thru a UTEC on stock turbo for over a year w/ no issues. As far as the BOV, everyone is right. I installed my RFL before I pulled my STI off the lot and imediately started backfiring. With a BOV venting to the atmosphere, the air is not recirculated as the ECU thinks and the ECU calculates fuel according to the air that has been sucked thru the intake. Therefore, if you run an aftermarket BOV, you'll run super rich after venting. But it sounds cool and the backfiring scares the hell out of people.

i want fireballs im upgrading my wrx and getting sti turbo and tmic titek up and dp with blitz nur spec r catback o yeah don't forget about the sti pinks should i get a new fuel pump or would the 03 wrx one beable to handle it? i dunno about a bov it sounds cool but i dunno what about a 50/50 bov?
