Arrow Full Boost at 2000 rpm???

I went to Sac Raceway tonight and on the way there my car started acting funny. I was driving down jackson and we were only going about 50 in 6th gear and when i floored it, it went up to 17.5 psi @ less than 3k rpm. I usually dont get full boost until about 3800. And when i pulled up to a light, i revved the car while it was in neutral and it would make boost. Like 6 or 7 psi!! I ran it once and i could feel that something was wrong so I just quit half way through. I checked over all my vaccum lines and stuff but I didn't see anything wrong. I'm thinking that theres something wrong with the wastegate. Anybody had this problem or know what it is?

catless tbe, headers, short ram, accessport, fmic, etc. All the bolt ons. Stock turbo and injectors. Since its been tuned, i've only changed the blow off valve but then was changed back. Perrin-HKS-Perrin. I havent messed with any of the vacuum lines. I checked all of them and they seem to be ok. Its not the wastegate because its not overboosting.

is your boost spiking at all? sounds like you have a leak somewhere, either vaccum or boost... has your car ever done that before? was your car under a load ( goin up hill) when you hit it at 60 in 6th gear? nothing really makes sense, what could make your boost jump like that? n e 1 else know?

There arent any leaks. The boost was set at 17.5 and its still hitting 17.5. Its not going over either. I was just driving normally (punching it here and there) on the way to the strip and it started doing that. I switched maps to see if it was the tuning but its been running good since i had it tuned over a month ago but Alex told me that i should try it. When i switched it back to stock it would run the way it should. Theres more power and its hitting boost in the late 3k rpms. When i switched it back to the tuned map it started hitting full boost at under 3k again. I'm taking it in to the shop today to find out whats up.

I took it to s^2 and they told me that its most likely a leak in my intercooler piping or the bov. I'm starting to think thats what it is too because last weekend I had to redo my intercooler piping because the pipes were hitting the hood. All i need now is a place to work so that I can redo the piping.

well there ya go.. the compressed air was escaping out at 17.5 psi because it was under load when you went WOT.. it had no where else to go but out thats y u hit full boost so low in the rpm band... it all makes sense now... so you had never noticed this problem b4?

Its never happened before. I wasnt sure what it was because it started happening like 4 or 5 days after i re did the piping so I didnt think thats what it was. I wish i would have known while i was in fresno so i could have fixed it.

OK, Im lost... explane why a leak in IC piping would cause full boost to be reached at low rpms? Sounds interesting...

Yeah, thats what i was thinking at first. I didnt expect a leak cuz i was hitting full boost, and was hitting it earlier.

I think it has to do with where the boost is measured and it is hitting it earlier because it is getting rid of it (leak) quicker.
