Continuation..
Well, after about an hour and a half of wrenching...I installed the rubber washers and both nuts that were missing from my intake bracket...what took so long was the removal of my fmic piping and other updated hardware in the way...and I cleaned my K&N air filter at the same time since I was already in the fender well...
That did it...no more noise...the intake is mounted solidly to the fender now...I get absolutely no noise on the highway, and any extraneous sounds I experienced before are now gone...
I've also intalled the Perrin rear lockdown kit...which further enhanced my driving pleasure...
All I can say is that I am very happy with the drivetrain upgrades I've made...
I totally recommend the Perrin kit...it took me about 1.5 hours to install puttering around...if I had to do it again, it would be at the most a 45min install for all three parts...very easy, cheap, and effective at reducing the drivetrain slop...
