Re:

No problem take your time with it I'd rather see the new 06 turbo maps come out sooner and more new maps developed. Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

Boost targets for the stock 2006 WRX MT peak at ~11.79psi by 3600 RPM then drop down to ~8psi by redline.
The Stage1 for Cobb Tuning targets around ~13.5psi then tapers down to ~9psi by redline.
The Stage2 for Cobb Tuning targets around ~15psi then tapers down to ~11psi by redline.

FYI, maps notes for the 2006 WRX MT can be found here = http://www.cobbtuning.com/wrx/accessport/25index.html

Take care,
Christian.

Cobb crank pulley

Hi Christian this is a hijack of the thread, but I figured you'd look here first. Is the crank pulley the exact same part for the 06 and the pre-06 Wrx? I ordered one from hirevimports, but their site reads 02-05 wrx, I was thinking they probably didnt update it since cobbtuning.com states 02-06 wrx. Is this correct?

Our crankshaft pulley will be the same for '02-'06.

hey christian since this is the only way i can talk to a pro in the field of tuning (specialy my car) i will ask you something that is not really related with the thread.
the rice in me would love a BOV for my car, i know its not necessary or it won't help my car perform better, but since the cobb stage 2 is running more boost, can i put one in? I know it has to be 50/50 vent to the atmosphere at least.
would it hurt my car or just how it runs?
i know GFB makes completely adjustable bovs for the wrx. may be its just a matter of adjusting it to the engine's needs.
I love bovs and im just looking for an excuse to put one in my car, if its safe!
if its not i won't do it.
there are tons of threads that talk about this kind of stuff but knowing you are a pro and know a lot about the car i will trust what YOU say.
thanks

On any MAF based vehicle I would highly suggest you do not vent any of your charge to the atmosphere...this will just create tuning issues. Install one of our intakes and you will hear more of the BOV sound even from the stock BOV.

BTW, new map versions are up on our web site, please read the map notes so you know what changes were made.

Happy Holidays,
Christian.

Christian,

I currently have a 03 wrx and am running your stage 2 access port. In one of the replies you mentioned a Stage 3. Is this something that will be coming out... if so what will it include above the stage 2.

Thanks,

Samir

Samir,

I do not have plans for completing a Stage3 for the 2.0L for now. I need to focus on the 2006 WRX then the FXT for now. I will keep all the 2.0L people updated in the appropriate forum.

Christian.

I hope to finish the tuning and testing of the first turbo (18G) before we go to Japan (Jan. 11th). I will not be able to publish the map until we get back around the 19th. I will keep everyone up to date with this thread.

Take care,
Christian.
