I'm pretty sure anytime you get a CEL when you have drive by wire it will flash the CC too. I think you may need the mechinical fix on the rear O2 sensor:

But w/o pulling the code it's hard to say for sure. Most AutoZones will pull the code for free.

Possible maf sensor or O2 sensor error . Need to check what code's being thrown to really know for sure . The check engine lite and cruise control is a feature to protect your car from being damaged more by limiting boost to a safe level , until you can get in to be serviced .

My car gave me the same problem when I disconnected the return plumbing hose from the stock by-pass vavle. So I reconnected it and the CEL went away and cruise light stopped blinking. I bet they are right about it being the mass-air-flow sensor not liking your intake.

YES you overboosted. i think it is the 420something code. generally happens in cooler weather. happened to me also going to a race.
you can clear it with a CEL code reader or i believe you can disconnect your negative battery cable.

I had that happen to me too when it was -4°F outside and I had to pass a car on the highway. Got the overboost code I also saw my max boost hold at around 18 PSI-G. Scared the heck out of me when it happened because the car shuddered when the CEL flashed but ran fine otherwise (plus the flashing CC lamp) cleared the overboost code and it was fine.
