cel for cat causes the cruise control to stop working
I went to ron price to see why I had a cel and why my cruise control stopped working, the ran a diagnostic and said that the ecu had basically turnes off the cruise control due to the fact that it was reading that the cat wasn't working. I even have a helix cel fix so go figure? cost me $83. I think I'm going to talk to someone about this.
Has this happened to anybody else?

I have the 04 CEL FIX from Helix as well...I got a boost cut one night when hitting the rev limiter uphill on a cold night for some reason, and my car had to be restarted. When I turned it back on, I had a CEL and a flashing cruise light as well....I got kinda scared but hoped it was normal with having the uppipe and downpipe I did. Went to sleep, woke up, and it was gone.

i have the helix cell fix for being catlessin an 03. I get check engine light when cruising up hill in fifth at about 2800rpm and then steping on the gas to get full boost. Also my cruise control will not work when CEL is on....dont know why, so i reset my ecu.

you guys should get the CEL reads first before you reset the ECU.... i know sometimes my car will throw a CEL when half throttle and full boost... it'll read misfire...and that'll cost a cel too... btw..my car is 02..

I took the car to a subaru dealer and they pulled the code for the cat then they checked on the cruise control through the diagnostic computer and it refered to the cat code the reason this thread was started was not to ask you guys how to take care of it but to determine the reliability of the heilix cel fix and to see if it was an isolated incedent
