alcohol in the ic/water spray tank?
anybody think putting alcohol in my ic resevior would be a bad idea?
I know there are kits for freezing the ic with c02.. I think alcohol (like the cheap rubbing alcohol bottles from rite aid) might be a cheaper alternative for similar freezing capabilities. would the alcohol damage the hoses, ic, or catch fire/explode? any thoughts?

what you could do if you really wanted a cheap C02 system. Take one of those air in a can- duster ma bobbers. Turn that sucker upside down and it shoots C02, if you ever want a jump in your time, that would be it. Rubbing alcohol sounds bad for everything. Turbo, intercooler, the hoses, and anything that can catch fire that isnt controlled (ie. NOS (rice) or gasoline or C02 are very controlled, for it to be in the water tank sounds like it could be bad news bears.
You could try it, but you might be in Barny. . . Barny Rubble. . . . TROUBLE ! - Oceans 11

i've been using my windsheild wiper tank as my intercooler sprayer resevoir for a buncha years (~3) in my STI coversion with no problems. I'm sure you could just replace the water with winsheild wiper fluid for the winter time. Hope that helps...
