06 wrx cobb ap stage 2
my car 2006 wrx sport wagon
mods: turboxs down pipe, cat piple and mid pipe, blitz nur spec axel back, ground wires, intake silencer removed.
first impressions: ive had the ap on now for about 300 miles or so running the ca stage 2 map. before i had the ap on i was just running the turboback and the car was slight faster than stock but not too much. now that the ap is on i cant say that the power increase is significant but the car is alot smoother. its hard to tell cause when its cold out the car pulls really hard when its not i dont really feel a difference. i have yet to put an aftermarket heat shield or cut the stock one so i have the feeling that the top mount intercooler is becoming heat soaked. i will have a heat shield this week so it should make some difference. stock boost on the car is 13.5 i was told by cobb target boost for stg 2 is 14.8 +/- .7 i have hit 15psi consistantly in fourth and fifth gear. so i know the ap is doing its job, i just hope putting a heat shield and giving the car more time to adjust it self to the new map will have it pulling hard all the time not just when it is cold. just my 2cents on the cobb ap. if you have an 06 this is somthing you should highly consider buying for your car. well worth the 645 bucks and great customer service and fast shipping. anyone else have any input on the cobb ap?
