[h] noise under boost - like supercharger

so yesterday, in the rain, as i stepped on the gas i noticed a noise i've never heard before. i searched in the forums but no answer.

it happens under full boost, instead of hearing my turbo spool through the intake, i hear another noise, like a supercharger whine. scoo_b heard it in my car, he wasnt sure what it is.

i got k&n sri, tbe w/ silencer put on.

maybe a leak on the dp/turbo, the nuts tend to get loose there, i will look in to the when its not raining.

help will be appreciated, thanks.

you did not state in the OP that it varies the boost.

the reason you would hear it under full boost is cause you motor is under load. belts become under load at the simultaneously. cause your PS to make the "Supercharger Whine"

its most likely an exhaust leak from your dp gasket. i had that same noise, sounds like a cat almost...my gasket was broken so it was very loud. u did mention loose bolts.

check the bolts on the dp/turbo and they're on there.
my o2 bung tends to get loose because crucial didnt send me the right one, tightened.

so the sound is still there, happens near 5k rpm, does not vary with rpm but with boost.

i dont think it is a post turbo (downpipe leak)
more likely an intercooler leak? intercooler hose? or ypipe connection to intercooler
