As of yesterday the car has 5000 miles on it, the one cat that is in there only has 1000 miles on it, so I doubt those were causing it, also going back to the stock BPV cured the problem.

when bov/bpvs cause problems at idle, they are not sealing properly. that's all there is to it.
fwiw, i don't feel the momentary rich during a VTA is a big deal. lots of times it doesn't even register on a wideband because it is so transient.
