y over boosting??plz help

i was ... on highway at 4th gear 5000rpm it star over boosting after i shift to 5th it gone carzy it hit 20psi i didn't even know until i hear fuel cut. but 1st 2nd 3rd n (4th until 5000rpm) is find i set it at 15psi. plz help can ebc help?? also i took out the stock restict hose n leave stock bc hook up. n hook up with mbc

I would get rid of the mbc and unichip and get a reflash or dyno tune from a quality tuner in your area.

As these guys said, the MBC/unichip combo is a very bad idea for the 04+ WRX's. They have a fairly long dellay before they switch into open loop mode (enrichment) and therefore you end up running full boost at 14.7:1 a/f for several seconds. On top of that, the unichip is advancing timing and trying to pull fuel, so you're really setting yourself up for a blown engine pretty soon. Save up for a tune.

My fault... you never said what year your car is. But even on the 02/03 ECU's the unichip/MBC combo runs into the PTFB problem where you end up running lots of boost at part throttle while the ECU is staying in closed loop mode. But if you're really set on running this combo, it sounds like you need a better MBC that will hold similar boost in higher gears as in low gears.

so can ebc fix the problem? also when you installing it do i unhook the stock one?? i mean unhook the hose or the plug??

well b4 i bought unichip n mbc the shop GND toll me to get a reflash but i don't want to sprnd $600 so i bought uni which is only 200

only the expensive ebc's allow you to tune boost per throttle position and that is the only thing that will solve the PTFB problem. At that point it becomes much more worth it to just get a reflash.
