one of your four elements for combustion isn't there:
Fuel, air , spark, compression.

Fuel: too much/ too little
air: same
spark: none or erratic due to bad plugs, bad wires, coils, some connection somewhere, etc
compression: sticking valve, cracked piston, worn rings, etc

What makes you think that the car is misfiring or is this a rhetorical question?

What mods do you have to the car? Do you have a crank pulley?

No crank pulley, just Turbo XS RFL BOV, Invidia DP, Lineage Grounding Kit, Injen CAI Intake, Tanabe Exhaust, Blitz Turbo Timer, Defi BF Guages, and JIC FLT A2 Coilovers.

Ditch the intake and put new plugs in it and see what happens.

BOV shouldn't cause misfires.

Misfire code

I am glad somebody did bring this topic to the forum. I been having the same problem since I installed the Unichip from TurboXS. When I started to have the misfire my mods were the Unichip Stage 1 Map, drop in Piper Cross Air Filter and I removed the resonator. Then I changed to Spark Plugs Iridium IK24 and still get the same codes. The last mod was the Invidia DownPipe with the Oxigen Sensor Mod connected to it and still gets the codes. Sometime I get P0301, P0302, P0304, others I get P0301, P0304 but I am not getting all four like at the begining. I did buy an OBD2 scanner to erase the codes everytime the CEL comes on. If any body know the solution that will be great to get that fix. I even wrote an email to TurboXS Technical Support and was told that it was normal to get that code but solutions were provided by them.

no a back fire is not good and neither is a misfire...you might be talking about a after fire where unburnt fuel hits the hot exhaust pipe and burns and shoots a flame out the end...
