I've been reading up on the same stuff for a few days. When you say pretty heavily modified, I'm assuming something like VF30, injectors, fuel pump, engine management, etc....
Going off of these assumptions, I'd say go with the water sprayer. Aquamist seems to have a great product. I'm no expert, but my reading has led me to the opinion that it won't be a power adder, but it WILL allow you to tune for more power. Your EM will be important here, as I'd think a user-tunable option would be the easiest to deal with. I know you can take a signal off the UTEC to send to the water kit, and it will only be on at that time (say, when you're at 4000 rpms / however #'s of boost).
With the alcohol, be careful, as some of the pumps will only handle a certain percentage and certain type of alcohol to be run through them.
I know the "other" forum has a lot of good info on this subject. So you might want to try there. Post up some more info about your setup too, so others with more knowledge will be able to give you the advice you're looking for.

https://www.i-club.com/forums/showth...threadid=32390 < EXCELLENT thread. I'm sure you'll learn a lot from that. Also, if you want more info, try searching here and nasioc. Then try google. Sometimes there are car sites with their own tech articles, usually very helpful. good luck
