What should used spark plugs look like?
I just pulled my spark plugs to replace them and was wondering what normal wear on a plug would look like, mine have kinda fluffy white deposits on them.
To my understanding the white deposits are normal, I just wanted a second opinion.
TIA
edit: after further inspection it is more of a brown/grey deposit

I found a photo of an old NGK used spark plug chart that someone scanned and posted on their site. In modern fuel injected cars, you would rarely see the extreme examples of overly rich or oil fouled plugs unless something is mechanically wrong with the engine or tuning.
Forget ever cleaning spark plugs using a small grit-blasting tool that is sold in some places. By cleaning plugs with abrasive grit, it raises the voltage requirement to fire the spark plug using the same gap. If the plugs look that worn, chuck 'em and replace with brand new ones. Copper center electrode spark plugs are cheap and work well but replace regularly because the center electrode wears quickly with performance use. After a few months, you can actually see the shape of the electrode become rounded off at the tip so that it no longer resembles a cylinder shape.

Mine were prolly looking between 14 and 19 on the chart (spark plug chart ftw btw)
I just replace my plugs w/ stock type plugs, they last a long time and I am not running higher boost so I don't need better/higher grade plugs anywho.
