what does a 2002 wrx run stock for psi?
i have a friend that has a first gen U.S. WRX. he is wondering if he can put a 12-16 psi blow off valve in. he has talked to a few people about it, someone from subaru told him to be careful he has a friend who owns a shop and said he wants nothing to do with it, whats the deal???

Ok...people can go around and around debating the negative effects of BOV's on cars. Point blank the bypass valve is the most efficient valve to use on a WRX. Exception to the rule is that on cars such as mine with a FMIC and big turbo you cannot run a bypass valve, so a BOV is used, and is tuned to match.
A stock 02-03WRX runs approximately 14psi or 1 bar....give or take a little for atmospheric conditions and the ECUs willingness to allow the BCS to make that peak boost.
