Technicaly...

They release the preasure on the intake side of the motor once you let of the throttle during heavy load shifts allowing the turbine to continue its spinning without all that air stopping it in a devastating way.The stock Bypass vale returns that air through the intake tract where it is metered and all the little fuel calculations are totaled by the gnomes in the ECU.With a Silencer removal or an aftermarket intake , one can hear this valve doing its work under WOT shifts, barely.
Untechnicaly .... a 100% vent to atmosphere BOV makes one bad *** sound!
All the Anti bov people are correct in saying the stock Bypass valve is sufficient for up to 20Lbs. of boost, it will never do you wrong , god bless them.
To those of us who are forever drawn to the egotistical side of this vehicle and the attention it could get us I repeat...100% makes one bad *** sound.I promised myself I would never get caught up in the BOV craze , I am much too old for that.
O.K. , I bought a FORGE BOV , and I don't care what anyone says!
