Doesn't the UTEC take pretty good knowledge of fuel maps and such to be able to tune? It's not like Joe Blow down the street can just tune the UTEC, is it?

You can get preset maps, and if you want to tune it you can. It is alittle difficult but you can get alot of help from the guys at wrxhackers.com. I've been running preset maps and have had no problems and it makes a big difference

Re: Cobb
1) I noticed that the torque kicks in at 5500RPM, would stage II create more turbo lag?
2)So with ECU reflash further tuning is not needed because everything is pre-maped into the program?
Thank you.

1. That's the Hp that peaks at 5500 rpm, the Torque peaks at 3000 rpm and is pretty well maintained through 6000 rpm. You will notice improved turbo spool-up.
2. The stage 2 map is programmed for a Turbo Back Exhaust.
Cobb says more maps will be available when the AccesPort is released on Feb. 27th.
