what is the best mod to reduce/eliminate turbo lag?
just wondering what is the easiest mod to gain more low end power on a WRX?
i would like to feel the acceleration before 3500rpm. In other words, i want to reduce or eliminate turbo lag.
I would like it to be an easy mod, like plug and play.![Smilie](https://www.i-club.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Also, how much will this mod cost me?

Im new with subaru so... bear with me.
Typicaly you can reduce turbo lag by getting a biger intake pipe befor the turbo or a better filter, It reduces the suction load on the turbo thuss freeing up some resistance. Or you could just make your engine rev a little easyer with a set of underdrive pulies.

Intakes will not increase low end on a WRX. Intakes have actually been proven to do next to nothing on youre average WRX.
NOS wont help with low end either
Best mods for decreasing turbo lag:
Intercooler hoses (AKA samco or perrin, shown to give 5-10hp surprizingly and drop the point where the turbo spools about 250-500 rpms)
Boost controler, Cheap way to give the car more boost in general, also a good option would be the ECU reflash which equates to ~30 more horsepower including faster spool up.
Flywheel or Lightweight pulley, reducing drivetrain weigh equates to faster reving equates to turbo spooling up faster![Stick Out Tongue](https://www.i-club.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
Uppipe/downpipe/exhaust systems in general increase turbo spooling, exept for some headers seem to decrease the cars low end so stick with the stock header until you do more ressearch.
Good enough?

thanks for the info.
i read about the turboxs ECU chips that piggy backs on top of the factory chip. i figure that's a definite plug and play mod. if that gives me early spools, i'll be happy.
I haven't heard much about the intercooler hoses, but starting spools at around 500 rpms sounds pretty good. i just hope it's an easy mod.
