Water Bubbling Sound at startup

OK...
does anybody know if the WRX has an in-dash bong system?

Seriously...
When I start my car up in the morning and give it a little gas, I hear a water/bubbling/liquid sound kinda coming from the dashboard area. The sound goes away after I rev the engine abit but usually is there again at the next startup.

I was wondering if this is related to the coolant or AC system?
I checked my coolant and thought maybe there was a bubble in the lines and I was abit low on coolant so I filled up the reservoir thinking that this might have been the issue. I'm not sure if this fixed the problem because the gurgle-sound was there this morning again, just not for as long of a time.
There are no noticeable changes in performance, car has roughly 50k miles on it.

I was also think maybe I had some standing liquid inside my intercooler (oil, water?). Maybe the condenser reservoir has liquid in it?
Anybody else have any ideas?
Thanks.

Same thing here my '03....

My guess is flowing through the heater? Air bubbles?

Thought about calling the dealer on this one, but it seems
harmless enough.

Funny thing is it didn't always do it....not till about 15,000
miles or so.

Make sure you're full of coolant. When the car is cold, open the reservoir and top it off. Start the car and let it idle until the fans come on (the reservoir should make a slurping sound when the thermostat opens), keep topping the reservoir off until it stays full. Also gently squeeze the top radiator hose to get rid of any bubbles.

Good luck

are you sure that your headers are attached to your engine still??? Cause we just installed headers on my friends RS so we figured while there were no headers on we wanted to know what it sounds like when we drive. blub.blub, blub

A friend was saying it might be the tranny fluid?
Is this a possibility?

Mine does it too. I think there is a tiny bit of air in the coolant. I've tried topping off, as detailed above, but with no luck. From what I've heard, it is easy to get an air bubble in the cooling system of a Subaru motor.

yea i'm pretty sure it's the coolant flowing through the heater element. could also be bubbles in the system, I only heard the sound after I emptied and refilled my system after the turbo install.
