Vishnu signature series DP
I was wondering what you guys thought of the Vishnu signature series DP. I like the way the wastegate gasses merge with the exhaust so far down stream but it seems like if you had a big turbo and some massive power the way they meet would cause a lot of turbulents since the wastegate pipe comes into the exhaust at 90 degrees. I would have thought it would have been a lot smoother with a 45 or 22 degree merge (more like the other Vishnu DP). Vishnu's other DP (the one that doesnt include the midpipe) tapers down before the midpipe but I dont know what diamiter it starts at or what it tapers to. I dont know how important the angle at which the 2 merge is since it is so far down stream and I also dont know how the taper in the other DP would affect flow so I was hopeing someone here could give me some schoolin on the subject. I am thinking there is nothing wrong with the design of either of these DP's since it was designed by Shiv and we all know that he knows what he is doing.

I would go and ask Vishnu in their forum. I would expect them to say that it's definitely better to run the complete turboback exhaust, rather than just the downpipe. The stand-alone DP is intended for customers who simply do not want to replace all of their catalytic converters. It is a good design, but doesn't make as much power as a full turboback can. It's best not to mix-and-match components.
