you could always buy the stuff now, and put it on in the future
after you get some gauges, and money for some tuning

Why risk it...seriously? Because you obviously don't have the money to fix something if it breaks if you can't scrape even $400 for a Cobb VF34 reflash.

I think this has been discussed a little bit, but i wouldn't run over 12 psi. It's just a little scary.

I wouldn't use it at all,

unless you have lots of restraint. I don't. I have a pnp VF34 waiting to go on when I get engine management. The wait will be worth it.

I would wait, in fact I would save the $$'s as well as when you have all the green in hand you can bargain for a better price, you know how greedy those vendor types are especially on a package deal

if the stock ECU works anything like an 03 ecu, it will spike pretty violently between 10 and 20 psi at WOT. NOT a good thing for your engine. from what I've heard, you can take the boost control hoses off of the stock turbo and run them on the VF34 and it will work ok. or you can run an MBC set to around 12psi. or you can run a metering valve like the Oakos Automotive MBC in-line between the "T" fitting and the boost solenoid.

The injectors won't run well with the stock ECU at all.

Very good points!

In a nutshell put the pennies away and get it put together at the same time!
