Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

VF 24 or VF35

I have been planning my setup for a couple of weeks now, and I am debating
what would be best. I am not looking for a lot of power in the high end
so I won't doing highway pulls. Basiclly I am looking for low end to mid range
power. WHP 235-250 This what I am in the process of doing:

ITG Filter
GFB BOV or (Forged BOV Bling!)
MRT Top Mount
Samco Intercooler Hoses
Perrin Turbo Inlet Hose
Scoobysport Stage 2 Exhaust (w/twin tip exhaust)
Ecutek Reflash (2 fuel maps one for econo and other for fun )
Vishnu pulleys
(this stuff comes first, turbo and fuel upgrade come later)

I did research on the VF24 and VF35 still don't know which to use, your insite would be appreciated.
PS. I love the board , lots of info, been on the board for a two years, never
really post just ready alot of info.

The VF35 is the more modern version of the 24. It spools faster with more top end.

You're an idiot. That turbo has NONE of the characteristics of the VF24 or VF35.

I have a VF35 and love it - if not for my idiot installer who put it in without prelubing it - but it gets full 18psi boost by 4000RPM. VF35 has a small exh side like the stocker - but large compressor side like VF30/34.

I wouldnt waste money on these (my opinion) - they are questionable, minimal bang-for-the-buck, or just plain useless.

GFB BOV or (Forged BOV Bling!)

I bet all these items = about $800, that pays for your turbo.

I assume the exhaust includes a catless uppipe, if not that should be your FIRST mod.

Scoobysport Stage 2 Exhaust (w/twin tip exhaust)
Ecutek Reflash (2 fuel maps one for econo and other for fun )
MRT Top Mount

Im running with stock scoop and IC and a TXS UTEC.... it Goes ! A larger scoop, IC and a dyno tune would probably eke out another 20-25 hp but its not worth the $2K it would require...
