A cheap, gutted stocked from a guy that professionally guts them on Ebay is a far better option. It will cost $40 ($80 for the gutted up-pipe, then the guy buys your old one back for $40) and will be undetectable in the event of any kind of inspection.
There are no proven gains with an aftermarket up-pipe on a stock turbo or a VF34/39 up-grade, a gutted stocker is exactly the same. The aim is to remove the cat.
The gutted stocker is also an exact fit and when fitted correctly will not be prone to leaks and failures which can happen on some aftermarket up-pipes.
