If you are refering to the NASIOC site, that guy is telling you about the sound of the Tanabe on a HONDA. Of course it is going to sound like c**p. You are talking about 2 different types of cars here. I was very much undecided about the exhaust because of the mellon launcher on the end of it. being that I am 45 I am not into that type of sound. I heard the Tanabe Racing w/o the silencer on another WRX. If you have seen the Racing version it is 3" straight through pipe. You look in one end and you can see out the other. Anyway it had an extremely nice sound to it and I decided to get the Hyper because the Racing will not work on my wagon with the trailer hitch. I am not disappointed on the Hyper at all. if you can find the Racing version too and listen to it both are extremely nice sounding exhausts. Even my 65 year old neighbor likes the sound of the exhaust.

i have the hyper and my bro has the racing, racing is quite a bit louder than the hyper both have tha very deep rumble
i prefer the hyper, its not too noisey on the highway. my brothers tends to wear on me on extended road trips
