Strange noise??
I am getting a strange buzzing noise when I accelerate hard. The sound starts at about 3500 and fades out around 5000 rpm. It's sounds like its coming from the passenger side of the car. All I have is a catback, removed silencer with K&N, COBB AP stage 1, and a GFB BOV. I was thinking it could be just intake noise from the removed silencer. Does anyone have any ideas?

nah...
this is more of a high pitched humming noise. when it first happened i was going 135, so i thought i blew my turbo, but then i hear all kinds of stories on here about eveyone elses doing it too. i think it has to do with that flat intake above the grill going into the fender well. because that wraps around and looks like it might be causing the noise in the passenger door. but i wish someone could tell us exactly what it was.

If its that intake thing it would make since its on the passenger side, since it runs into the passenger fender well. If its mirrors it should do it on drivers side and passenger like you said, yet the noise only comes from the passenger side. It can't be the mirrors, they are they same on both sides. With the rpm thing, that kinda makes since, mine were running pretty high at these speeds but when I got down to 120 they started to get softer and softer until it went away around 115.

But mine started to happen after I removed the whole center console to install my short shifter and TT. So I am guessing something is ratteling in there.

I think I found it. The rattling was coming a section of the silencer that I used to rout cold air from the fender. When I removed it the noise stopped. As for the high speed issue. Well I have not yet been above 120 so if a sound should occur at that speed I will let you all know.
