sti upipe

I have a Subaru Mastercard and I have earned $300 in Subaru bucks and I would like to purchace a sti upipe (its free why not). What Im wondering is are all sti upipes catless and will all sti upipes fit my 02 wrx. Im pretty sure all are catless and they are all the same but I dont want to get a pipe that wont fit my car. Since the dealers dont seem to know much about these things it would be nice to know a part # so if you know where I can find one it would be nice.

Thanks

Yes it will fit.

Yes it will be catless.

however, the only reason to get the STi uppipe is to pass the visual inspection at smog time. Otherwise an aftermarket one will work just great (although you might have issues getting vendors to take Subaru bucks ).

Im planing on getting it from the dealer. My wording wasnt the best. When I said "if you know where I can find one it would be nice" I was talking about the part #. When I order it from the dealer do I need to specify a certain year or are they all the same? If they are not all the same I was hopeing to get a part # (or find a place that sells them and has part# listed) since the dealer isnt used to ordering parts for my car that are not original equiptment on an 02 WRX. I would think the sti upipe would give me good gains since it is the same inside diamiter as the turbo inlet and since it free Im thinking of haveing it coated. I dont plan on upgradeing the turbo.

Thanks for the reply.

there is only one year of the sti here in the states the 04 and another good reason is you can pay for the gaskets too and the fit ment is perfect when you go with oem stuff

I have been saving my subarubucks for one of these as well - part number is (I think - got the number from subaruxtras.com in response to a similar post a while back) 44104fe090, retail price is $339.25 - some online vendors sell it for less.

thanks for the replies guys, I didnt realise its the same pipe they put in the US model. I thought it would have been from a European or Japanees model since it has no cat.

Im a poet and didnt know it untill I read my post a second time.

Depending on how much you have saved you may have enough already. I didnt find it at subaruextras when I looked so I e-mailed them and they added it to the web page and its $245.
check it out http://www.subaruxtras.com/SearchRes...?CategoryID=39 That sounds cheap. Have you ever bought anything from them with subaru bucks? Im pretty sure its like a credit card transaction at least thats what the dealer told me when I got my free SPT springs. If they were wrong and its like a cash transaction thats kind of scarry. Thanks for the reply it was very helpful.

Its on page 8. I cant seem to paste that page.
