I am going to be running this setup soon. Install begins next week. I have a VF34 on my 05 wrx now. Most people say that this turbo will be too small for the setup and it probably will be, but the only reason I am doing the swap is because I have a spun rod bearing. I am not doing this swap for the fun of it and I am not trying to build a monster HP motor, so the turbo I have now is probably ok for my conventional needs. I can give you feedback when I get everything done, but that is going to be a little while cause the car still needs to be worked on and then when I get it back I have to break it in before I can really test how the power end of it feels.

If you need it, do it. You'll be much happier with the 2.5L.

First of all I wouldn't do it unless you wipe your 2.0L. Second of all, once you decide on a 2.5L most of the big dollar supporting mods for the 2.0 engine are out the window. Stock turbo... Forget about it. So what ends up happening is a major upgrade, shortblock, turbo, intercooler, injectors, fuel pump, accessport, exhaust, ect, ect. The list goes on and on. I'll tell you what just going through this myself, it's not cheap. Then after everything is done the tranny goes, also not cheap.

Yes I know its not going to be cheap, as for the shortblock, turbo, intercooler and accessport is covered. I just need to save up for the tranny. Thats my major problem
