smoking turbo
okay, early on when i had the car (it was stock except for mbc @ 15.5), i noticed one summer afternoon that i had smoke coming out of my hoodscoop. scared, i popped the hood. the smoke seemed to be coming from the turbo area, but i wasnt sure. i asked my subaru dealer about it, but we could never replicate it. it hadnt happened again untill now. a steady stream of smoke coming off the turbo. now i dont have an mbc, im running stock boost but i do have a full turbo back exhaust. what is this smoke?!?! help! i have no power or boost losses... the only condition the two incidents have in common is the fact that id been idling the car for a few minutes each time, thats how i saw the smoke.

It's probably an oil leak from the feed line. The turbo runs almost as hot as the exhaust system so any oil on the outside surface burns up. The oil line supplies lubrication for the turbo's internal bearings.
You'll have to remove the heat shield before you can clearly see what's going on.
EDIT: See this thread.

Don't be scared to go to the dealer about the full exaust, all they will tell you is that having the full exaust might, stressing might, void a few, also stressing few, warrenties pertaining to exaust manifolds and S.M.O.G. work. Nothing to do with turbo or its oil feed. No fear, they smell fear. Go in raging and tell them what is on your mind haha. Good Luck
