Samco Turbo Inlet Hose

Samco Turbo Inlet Hose
Does any modification need to be done to the Samco turbo inlet hose to make everything fit and work properly? Just wondering cause I want to know what I am in for before I buy one and install it. By reading the reviews on here it doesn't sound like the Perrin inlet hose is a wise investment. Does the Samco inlet hose have all the right connections so I don't have to cut apart the hose as well as the stock inlet hose? Also has anyone heard anything good/bad about the GP Moto turbo inlet hoses? They look identical to the Samco one, but are $100 cheaper.
Here is a link to where I found both of them.....

I've heared that the perrin has some fitment issues. Im looking into the avo turbo inlet and if I cant find get that, then a samco. I think I remember hearing something about aps making a metal turbo inlet like the avo if thats not to pricey, look into that.

I think the silicone rubber inlets are just asking for trouble -- you don't want flex in that part of your inlet, just where the air turns a corner. The stock inlet is rigid for a reason; the acordion pleats are for strength and to keep it from collapsing, not just because it is a cheap part.
I watched some "tuner" show where they were making some minor mods to a EV0 VII and they replaced the turbo inlet hose with a silicone hose, although due to the transversal mount of the motor the hose was almost three feet long. They put the car on the dyno and you could see the hose buck, bulge and strain -- that can't possibly be good. That APS part is awesome, but also extremely expensive; I'd have to have it feeding a $1200 APS turbo to make it worthwhile.

$275 for the APS piece compared to 300 or more for the samco. Not expensive when you compare these two but still if you are going to buy one get the new APS unit. Plus with the APS unit you get two different size couplings(standard/3-inch) for different turbos and I think you get a silicon maf hose too.
