I can understand why it would smoke if the car is cold, but usually my car is warmed up and I park somewhere and while it is idling it smokes like that. I have looked for leaks and havn't noticed any leaks at all. It doesn't really smell like oil or coolant either.

I'm wondering if your car is running rich. Do you have any tuning done to your car? There is no way to describe all the different smells of the exhaust. I mean, you don't need to put your face up to the exhaust or anything, but you can usually tell what it is just by standing around the car.

I know for sure it is running a little rich because it will backfire, do you think that is causing the smoke too? I plan on getting it tuned pretty soon so hopefully that will help. It doesn't smell like anything other than exhaust.
