Question Asked a Thousand Times

Ok...here goes. I know this question has been asked a bunch of times, but from what i've been reading, all I hear is opinions. So, the question is....What is the BEST turbo back exhaust on the market today? I don't want hear about the exhaust that you have installed on your ride and how YOU think it is the best. I wan't to know what is the absolute best exhaust that can be purchased. You know, some real evidence. Well, i'm sure this post will start some controversy, and all inputs are of course welcome. Thanks in advance

A few choices,

Blitz Nur Spec Racing, Kakimoto Titanium. Both louder than hell (I own the Blitz).

anyone have the Vishnu Signature series? That thing is 1600 bucks. Is it worth it? You know what they say "you get what you pay for" I know I could get an exhaust for half the price, but I also know that Vishnu is one of the premier (if not the best)tuners for subaru's. They say that their exhaust is the best on the market, but of course they are a buisness trying to sell their products. Any thoughts?

Go to Turbo Magazines website. There they have 2 WRX exhaust shootouts that compare a bevy of features and attributes of turboback and catback exhaust. If you search I-Club's tech forums you will find that link.

I have a Vishnu turbo-back and love it. The twin tip is major stealth.

The signature offers some nice features but at 1600 it's quite a bit more. Sure it really is probably the best, but is it worth another 400? I can't say.

If you've got the money, you'll be extremely happy with Vishnu or TXS.

uhm...honestly it's all preference...the gains on just a catback itself isn't much....since air flow is all being restricted by the 3 cats, 1 in UP, 1 in DP, and 1 in MP.

once u remove these, and u hook it up with almost any 3inch or even 2.5" piping catback, u'll be happy with it. I personally think the catbacks are more of a sound + looks preference..

also i like to peice together my own turboback. aftermarket helix downpipe, and a hks carbon ti catback =]

Vishnu signature is quality. Also $1600 isn't TOO outrageous for a turbo back (not to say it's cheap thought).
DIY turbo backs are excellent. Helix downpipe, and either Kakimoto GT 1.0Z, Blitz Nur-Spec, or HKS Hi-Power. Add an uppipe and you're really playing with power

I have been told by a represenitive at Cobb that until their own turbo back is released, the Vishnu single dump turboback is one of the two best turbobacks available. They "hit the boost points" the best, in reference to their stage 2 tuning. I have to assume that you plan on tuning your wrx if you plan on dumping 1000+ on an exhaust. Otherwise, the added 15 or so whp hardly justifies the cost.

Side note - i have the vishnu dual tip, single dump turbo back and cobb stage 2 reflash.... very very satisfied and very stealth.

I also have the blitz and love it, but I think when chosing an exhaust the decision should be based on what you like.

The only place to do that is out seeing them for yourself.
