proper gap and backfire before turnover???
1st what would be the right gap for ngk-r plugs on a fully built ej25 running 14psi with a haltech
i was told 24 but just want to make sure
and heres the special question
i couldnt start my car what i think was due to some bone heads not knowing how to start her and fouled the crap out of my plugs
any way i know the car was cranked more than a few times in a poor attempt to get her started anyway i sit in the car to get an idea what is wrong
put the keys in the ignition turned the car to on but not to the 4th position to actually make her turn over and BANG she backfired... ive never seen a car do this while not actually running
so what could have happened here any ideas???
any advice would be very greatful
im replacing the plugs tomorrow
and hoping that nothing else is wrong
my girlfriends brother(who is a big time muscle car mechanic) said id better check my timing belt because if the car back fired then the valve had to have been open... does this make sense to anyone else
mike
i know i posted twice and that this really belongs in aftermarket turbo but ireally need to know before tomorrow

about 4 days ago i came to that conclusion so i disconnected my fuel injectors(dont know where the fuel cut off switch is)
i turned it over for almost 2 minutes till all the fual was burned or blown out of the cylinders it actually ran for like 6 seconds
and now everything is fine
