popping sound?

popping sound?

I installed my stomung tbe and helix uppipe yesterday.. ever since i've occasionally had a popping sound, maybe 2 or 3 times so far. Is this normal?

Is that good or bad?

Oh yea, I also have a txs type-h bov.. but dont really wanna get rid of that =/

It's not "back fire" in the most classic sence, since that would mean exhaust shooting out the intake. But the popping you are getting is just your newly catless exhaust gargleing. Nothing is wrong. That coupled with the BOV, and who knows, you may even be shooting out fireballs at night. Very cool.

Afterfiring. It's normal when you remove any cats, mufflers, or resonators. If your engine is running rich to boot, you may even spout a lick of flame or too. Very cool.

I know catless and borla with helix up and downpipes do. Stage 2+ cobb

take off the bov if it really bothers you. That's what causing u to run rich, which makes the loud pop that sounds like a gunshot or something if loud enough.

Yup. Even with just my axleback straightpipe I get pretty mean backfiring sometimes. I personally like it
