here is a picture of my ej22 block. it has been bored with larger bored sleeves and stroked using a ej25 crank. the new displacement is around 2.5 liters fully closed deck.

Well, there I go with that whole premature ejaculation thing again.
hahaha, great pics, keep them coming.
Now what Subarus come with fully closed decks? And what does an EJ22 come out of? And what kind of head work did you have done? And how much HP do you plan to make?

my ej22 closed deck is out of a 90-94 turbo legacy. it comes with a closed deck, forged internals, and oil squirters. as far as head work goes, i have everything done to the heads. i want to make 500+ wheel hp.

do you have a 3-angle valve job? just curious, because there are so many different choices for intake manifolds for domestic V8s, you probably just ported the stock manifolds right? i realize you don't want to divulge any secrets, but any information would be very much appreciated.
oh yeah and what turbo do you plan on using?

actually i have a 5 angle valve job, something like what you would see with a N/A motor. although one of the cross sections of the valve job angles is the same length as the 3 angle to transfer less heat. i dont really understand the concept as deep as i would like, but my head guy went absolutely nuts on my head to make it the best it will ever be.

any thoughts as far as engine mgmt and choice of turbo? and do you think there's any chance you'll break 10s?

well i am running a t-66 turbo so i think its fully capable of producing enough power to run a 10.0. the problem will be the transmission. if i can get the power down i should be in the mid 10s with easy. i am running the autronic ecu. its fully capable of doing everything and more.

Nice!
I am running similar setup.
That motor is nearly indestructable.
Great job!
P.S. I heard Ron spoke with you about the TB. Sorry I didn't get back to you. I am waiting for my TB+manifold, so I didn't have much to say, plus I knew you were going to meet Ron. Did you end up getting it.

well first of all i would like to challenge both of you to a car death match race. my toyota echo will kill all.
and now that we have that out of the way, stealth do you plan on doing most of your tuning on the dyno or on the road? and is your car going to be a drag car or an all around road race monster?

i didn't get a chance to meet up with him but we talked on the phone a while. i am going to get my car up and running and then get his throttle body and adapter.
steppin razor:
the car will be a street car and i will probably take it to the track very few times. tuning will only be done on a dyno.
