Newbie needs help bad

I bought a 2002 wrx with a bad motor for $500. Ordered a motor that was an ej20tt. Stripped it down to the block & assembled my heads, intake, harness & turbo. We are having issues, i believe timing but not sure car will not start just roll over, sometimes backfire through the tail pipe. We he tried timing the car many times, bought a pdf file from ebay on the car. Is there any differences in the ej20tt block compared to the ej20 block that was in the car. One difference that i did notice is the ej20tt block does away with the small bearing that goes bad on wrx's & uses a tensioner. Any help appreciated.

I dont believe it has to do with the coils the car is getting spark or it would not backfire. Any help appreciated.

check your coil packs, injector clips, and the cam position sensor.

It was the injector on cylinder 1 causing it to sputter. Now have to figure out the evap emission code, also going to have to go to subaru garage & order a new front o2 sensor, the bosch from advanced keeps tripping the light. Installing new right side cam seals today the top right is leaking, must not have installed it right. Thanks
