Whats the police going to do? Tell you to not buy a car thats not mechanically sound next time? the guy probably had an accessport married to the car and un married it right when he sold it, thus showing all the codes it was covering up.
My best bet is you have tgv deletes, and maybe a bad MAF sensor, thats off the top of my head without looking up the codes.
For future refence, always know what has been done to a car before you buy it, ask for all service records, get the car checked out by one of i-clubs vendors, and if it seems too good to be true, it always is!!

Sorry about your problems man, it always sucks when someone is dishonest in a sale. Im sure its happened to every one of us at some point. I would do a compression test to rule out anything wrong with motor.
Check one thing- look under the drivers side dash and look for 2 green connectors, are they connected? This would be test mode, if you drive the car in test mode it will misfire and make the car drive horrible and throw random codes in your face. My buddies tuner accidently left the car in test mode once, so it is possible.
Try to find people near your location to help you swap parts, so you dont go buying new parts to find it didnt solve the problem.
Good luck

Hmmmm, misfire on ALL cylinders? LW Crank pulley, flywheel, drive shaft? These may cause that. Car isnt misfiring, the computer just thinks it is. The deletes are a lil harder to check for. You will actually have to remove the intake manifold and check if the tgv plates are still installed. Or maybe unplug the tgv motor plugs and see if you see signs of welding where they bead welded the holes closed. Could just be plugs unplugged from the wire harness. Have you tried resetting the ecu? (unhook the ground from battery for a few seconds)
