Most power out of an EJ20?
I was curious to see the power limits of the EJ20. And also what mods it took to make the power. Im talking about engines that are not bored or stroked. But anything else is ok.
ALsi, is anyone running an EJ20 (street use) with 350-450WHP?

Stock internals, VF34, Greddy intake, Greddy front mount, Helix uppipe, HKS downpipe, HKS CF/Ti catback, STi injectors, Walbro fuel pump, EcuTek ECU tuned by Bill from I-Speed and on 93 octane...322.5whp at 18 peak psi. With stronger internals, bigger turbo, and larger injectors, Im sure you could get to around 350whp. Then all the different options of stroking the motor come into play...but then u might start to lose the streetable ability of it some, depending on how crazy u go. Street 350whp-400whp is possible but it will take a good amount of money to get there.

What if i wanted to leave the displacement at 2.0liters but still push 350-450whp? Is it possible with upgraded internals, ie. pistons, rods, bearings, valves, ect.?
I would like to retain the factory displacement but still be able to get the high numbers.
What about a set up like this?
FMIC
P&P
Injectors
Custom T4 turbo
DP
3.25" exhaust
Stand alone ECU
Pistons
Rods
Valves w/springs
Cams
I dont know of the exact components that i would use to atain the power seeing that i am new to the Subaru scen.
Im sorry if these questions have already been asked, or if these questions sound stupid, but we all have to start somewhere.
Thanks
Tim

New kit prices should be up by the end of the week.

There are some stroker kits that are a hair higher than $5000. I think the HKS costs about that, with the Tommy Kaira and Jun kits coming in a bit higher. Although for the price of one of those kits, you could have the ridiculous Axis tuning 2.4L stroked block (9500 rev limit) that Imprezer's got, and just own everyone (except, presumably, Imprezer).

Well, i have decided to leave the stock displacement and work on the rest of the motor. I know that you can get 300whp out of the engine without to much fuss.
ie. FMIC
turbo upgrade
boost controler
ehxaust
and some ECU tuning
Thanks for all the help and infromation guys, it really helped out.
