Exclamation MIL fix

02' WRX
5spd MT
2.0L T w/63k
code: p0171

went to the zone today after getting a check engine light that comes and goes, 1st tended to come on after long drives but has become more frequent.they told me that a p0171 code came up. System is too lean. anyone have any problems with this code that seems to be a common problem or have any suggestions on what to check.

current mods: cai, bov, cat back, b/c

the cai, the bov & the BC aren't helping anything......in fact the CAI & the BC could be causing the code.

check your fuel filter as well...

yeah i bought it like that, but the code didnt appear for a while after buying it. i was told to check the filter but it looks pretty new, plus no stumble or lopping when i get on it. i was wondering if turn'n up the boost would wear the injectiors that badly.

I leave the b/c off cause of gas prices and the temptations it gives me. Anyway i put a bottle of FIC and the light went off again, im gonna drive it more to see if it stays off. Another question on the b/c, i got a greddy profec B spec 2, im not sure how to calculate boost increases, i think i goes off of percents of total boost. can you help?

sorry, I'm not familar w/ the Profec B. Removing the BC & the AEM CAI would be the best thing you could due at this point for your car.
