That's kind of a silly thing to argue about. I'd imagine that the filter with the least air flow restriction would be the loudest, however i don't think it's going to be noticeable.

I've used k&n before on my 6 cyl z3/ I couldnt tell a difference with it. I just ordered the blitz panel filter. I get it in thurday, I'll give you an update after I install it.

I tried for the longest while tonight to get mine to talk... Alas, no dice. I also have the OEM filter. So I guess that's a safe bet if you are looking for a quiet filter.



Seriously though man, that's like asking which MAF sensor is the loudest...

Obviously MAF sensors don't make noise... That was my point. I defy you to change filters and notice a sound difference. The sound you hear is a product of intake shape, not the filter! Maybe you can pioneer the first intake "whistle tip." That should be nice and loud.
