you might want to change the thermostat to a cooler one. i'm sure that will help with cooling.

On my KOYO, I dont use the drain plug. I just remove the lower hose when I need to drain it. I keep the plug in there and it is ok.

thanks for the info..... i was like "WTF! a plastic drain plug!" did you have a hard time putting in the radiator into the rubber grommet on the bottom? cuz i did and checked all around, its seemed ok but its just a really tight fit.

i just installed my cusco upper/lower radiator hoses and the koyo radiator just like couple of hours ago. the radiator fit but took some muscle to push and tug to fit it,and extra set of hands. its really a tight fit...... but looks SWEAT! also the cusco hoses were a PITA to put in cuz hoses are really stiff. overall all you needed to do this job is a jack(lift in my case), booger hook(to remove the hose), 10 & 12mm socket, then just bleed the coolant system. took me about a little less than an hour(results may vary) to finish this job. i also put in ROYAL PURPLE-PURPLE ICE additive..... does anyone have any opinions on this? good? bad? let me know. i love my koyo radiator  thanks guys!

well i payed about like 750 for cusco upper/lower hoses and koyo radiator(sucks living in hawaii-shipping that is)...... no difference really maybe a little..... i was replacing it cuz my radiator and upper/lower hoses were leaking! damn it! its an REALLY TIGHT FIT OE replacement. i highly recommend this radiator(nice look to your wrx). i needed to put some muscle to put in the hoses. i also got the koyo radiator cap(oooo wow:banana: )

i think those are standard replacements, plastic/aluminum. the racing units are 100% aluminum.
