Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

What part of the head needs to be machined for these to fit in a USDM 02 WRX?

AFAIK, they fit right it.

However, to take full advantage of them, you need to raise your redline and you can only do that (safely) if you switch to "shim-under-bucket" setup like on all the JDM STi's.

Let me know if you need more info on this.

Thanks Alex.

At what point will I experience valve float with the stock valvetrain and how much stiffer would the STi springs be compared to the WRX? Does the Jun stage 2 cam upgrade come with dual or single valve springs? Should the revs rise and fall faster because of the cams lightened design?
